Ragged Mountain Ski & Snowboard Club

The Ragged Mountain Ski and Snowboard Club is a non-profit, volunteer organization that promotes skiing and snowboarding for families in the Mid-Coast area. Among its many activities the club raises funds for the 4th Grade Learn to Ski Program which brings children from several local elementary schools to the Snow Bowl for three days of free skiing each winter.

The club also distributes scholarship money to help make winter snow sports affordable to any child who is interested.

Youth racing programs are also a major focus of the club. Fundraising activities include a November fundraising dinner and four fall foliage Pancake Breakfasts and Chairlift Rides at the Snow Bowl. During the ski season the club also sponsors special events at the Snow Bowl and trips to other ski areas.

Jen Martin                     Tom Albertson           Mike Bridges
Devon Salisbury             Sara Cole                 Sandy Carey
            Jen Simon                     Barry King
            Martha Flint                   Fran Moore

If you see any of the volunteers, thank them.  It takes many hours and many people to make things work.

Our next race is the Annual Seacoast Classic on Saturday, January 30.  Registration will be from 8-9 in the lodge and the race will start at 10:00.  This race is open to all and we invite racers from other areas to participate.  Weather depending, this race is a high start.  We use MARA (Maine Alpine Racing Association) classes and follow standard Race protocol.  It is a great race with trophies for winners and prizes for all.  We will send more information in the coming weeks but mark your calendars.
