FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
1What is a Snow Bowl Card?
The Snow Bowl Card has replaced all physical tickets and passes. It is a reusable and reloadable RFID card that will have you spending less time at the ticket window, and more time on the slopes! The Snow Bowl Card is a one-time $5 purchase that you’ll be able to use year after year! Replacements cards can be purchased at any time for $5 each.
2Do I need a lift ticket if I'm not skiing, but on the mountain?
Yes, for insurance reasons, if you plan on watching a skier/boarder out on the snow in the Beginners Area, you will need to purchase a spectator ticket. Those who stay in the lodge or out on the porch do not need a ticket.
3Is uphill travel allowed?
Unless otherwise specified on the Conditions Page, uphill travel is permitted from sunrise until the mountain closes for the day (7pm on weekdays and 4pm on weekends). On days, when the mountain is not open, (Mondays and Tuesdays), uphill travel is available from sunrise to 4pm. Night uphill travel is open Sunday nights from 5pm to midnight.
When Mountain is OPEN — Uphill Travelers must have an uphill day pass ($10 at ticket window) or an Uphill Season Pass. Uphill access is also available to Season Pass holders. See our Winter Policies Page for the full Uphill Travel Policy.
4Are there lockers available to store my belongings?
There are some lockers available, rented on a season basis. Additionally, there are open cubbies in the lodge and on the deck that are available. The snowbowl is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
5Are dogs allowed?
Dogs are not allowed on the mountain alpine trails or in/around the lodge pre-season (beginning December 1) and during the ski season at any time. This policy does not apply to service dogs.
The Kuller Trail and the ball field are two places dogs and hikers are allowed in the winter, regardless of whether the mountain is in operation. Please do not cross the alpine trails to access Hosmer Brook Trail.
