Boating

Hosmer Pond is a shallow 53 acre warm water pond situated at the base of Ragged Mountain and is the head waters of the Goose River. There is a boat launch on the north end of the pond across from the ball field where folks can launch small watercraft. Hosmer Pond is ideal for kayaking, canoeing or paddleboarding, the quiet surface is especially popular with beginner paddlers and families. Fishing is another favorite activity, with anglers catching brown trout, smallmouth bass, largemouth bass and white perch.
