Ski School Instructor
Position Overview:
This is an hourly, season position that generally begins in early December with staff orientation and ski area opening, and can run through March. This position is focused on instructing snow sports (skiing and/or snowboarding) to the general public in a safe, successful and positive manner.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
• Ensure a positive and safe experience for all ski school students and staff
• Verbally and physically demonstrate snow sports learning progressions to students
• Demonstrate equipment, gear and lift safety to guests
• Recognize, define, and mitigate hazards and risks associated with snow sports
• Compassionate coaching and respectful support of students’ emotional challenges
• Develop and share achievable goals for individual students
• Interact with students, parents and staff in a helpful, friendly and professional manner
• Patiently work with children and young adults
• Occasional maintenance assistance with Operations department, e.g. shoveling snow, salting hazardous surfaces, moving ski racks, ensuring safe lift operations, etc.
Qualifications & Skills:

• Experience and/or familiarity with ski area operations
• PSIA/AASI/USSCA/PDP certification desired but not required (certified instructors have a higher pay rate)

Terrain Park Ranger
Job Summary:
The Terrain Park Rangers are responsible for opening, inspecting, maintaining, and closing the terrain parks daily. They supervise and play a key role in creating a safe and positive atmosphere in the terrain parks, freestyle programs, and the ski area as a whole. Reports to Terrain Park Manager.
Essential Functions**:
• Support pre-season design of terrain parks and constriction of features.
• Assist in hand grooming features throughout the season.
• Constant inspection and maintenance of park features and jumps so they are safe for the public.
• Under guidance from Terrain Park Manager, close features as necessary when conditions warrant.
• Maintain proper signage, fencing and park entrances
• Complete daily park logs, document safety concerns and changes to features
• Patrol the park, encouraging proper park use and addressing unsafe practices with users
• Report injuries and significant incidents to Terrain Park Manager and Ski Patrol. Assist injured park guests and support accident investigation process when requested.
• Interact with guests, students, parents and staff in a helpful, friendly and professional manner
Qualifications & Skills:

• Strong skiing and/or snowboarding experience in the freestyle disciplines
• Terrain Park maintenance and snow shaping (hand tools and/or groomer) skills preferred

Job Summary:
Lift Attendants ensure safe and efficient operation of ski lifts, assisting passengers in safely boarding and disembarking. Responsibilities include lift maintenance, crowd management and emergency procedures.
Essential Functions**:
• Complete pre and post operational checks on chairlifts.
• Complete daily logs and report any malfunctions or issues to management.
• Operate chairlifts in a safe and efficient manner.
• Assist guests in getting on and off chairlifts and ensure that all guests are properly seated and secured on the chairlift.
• Check guest lift tickets and handle crowd control in lift queue areas.
• Assist with snow removal and maintenance of the lift area.
• Ensure safety procedures, practices and requirements are always met and adhered to.
• Interacts with guests and other staff members in a helpful, friendly and professional manner.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Snowmakers are a dedicated group operating snowmaking equipment and maintaining optimal snow conditions across our mountain terrain which relies on man-made snow.
Essential Functions**:
• Under the direction of mountain manager establish and execute a snowmaking plan based on conditions
• Operation of air compressors, water pumps, and snow guns during snowmaking operations.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on snowmaking equipment
• Operation of ATV’s and snowmobiles in all weather conditions.
• Ensure safety procedures, practices and requirements are met and adhered to at all times.
• Maintain accurate logs of snowmaking operations and equipment status.
• Interact with guests and other staff members in a helpful, friendly and professional manner.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

• Manage cash and credit card sales, process refunds
• Maintain a high level of customer service by promptly addressing problems and complaints that arise and successfully diffuse emotionally charged situations
• Assist with answering phones and emails
• General understanding of Camden Snow Bowl departments to assist guests with various needs
Qualifications & Skills:
• Positive, flexible and enthusiastic attitude
• High level of organization
• Knowledge of ski area operation preferred
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, and online reservations systems

Ski patrollers at the Camden Snow Bowl are primarily focused on the first response safety of guests, staff and volunteers who use the facilities on the mountain for skiing, snowboarding, tobogganing, and other recreational activities of the recreational area. Ski Patrol work involves not only first aid and transport of injured people, but also other guest services aspects such as trail signage, trail condition evaluation and communication (including hazard identification), lift evacuation, implementation of mountain rules and guidelines, customer service outreach, and support in lift line management. Patrollers spend much of their time riding lifts, skiing slopes, and visiting the lodge, so they also play a critical role in monitoring all that is happening throughout the facility and reporting issues to the management team. Patrollers also support non-winter activities at the Snow Bowl including chair lift operations, festivals, and trail events such as mountain bike races.

• Effectively handles all on-mountain emergencies
• Maintains and documents records of all pertinent information regarding incidents, and conducts incident investigations as directed by supervisor
• Provides emergency medical care when needed
• Performs search and rescue operations

• Interacts with guests and other staff members in a helpful, friendly and professional manner.
• Carries first aid equipment at all times while on duty
• Follows appropriate radio use guidelines
• Participates in continuing education to maintain skills in lift evacuation and other areas of ski safety
• Supports special events such as ski races, Toboggan races, ski patrol fundraisers etc.
Qualifications & Skills:
• High School degree, plus prior ski patrolling experience • CPR for the Professional Rescuer, NSP Outdoor Emergency
Care Technician Certification required
• Advanced skiing/riding ability required to reach and rescue injured skiers on all terrain
• Training and/or experience in emergency patient care, mass casualty situations, lift evacuation, ski and toboggan handling
• Solid record keeping skills
